ETC has worked with the Latvian Tourism Development Agency to put together a social progamme that will give you a genuine flavour of our host venue, Riga.
Details of the social programme are as follows: Wednesday, 21st October: dinner at the K.I.D. restaurant Thursday, 22nd October: dinner at the B-Bars restaurant This year, for the first time, we are offering an organised programme to encourage delegates to stay on after the academy and see something of their host country. Participation is entirely free of charge - the only extra cost is that of the extra nights' accommodation at the Albert Hotel. Spouses/partners are also welcome, but please check with Nick Markson first:

Friday, 23rd October: Saturday, 24th October: Excursion to Sigulda, Turaida and Ligatne - meet in hotel foyer at 09.30. This is an attractive area in the north of Latvia, and close to Riga. The programme will include a visit to the country's winter sport area and one to a former Soviet bunker built to shelter the state administration in the event of a nuclear war. 18.00 - estimated time of arrival back at the hotel. Evening free for own arrangements.
